You are sooo sweet for saying that!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful compliment! I love my hair long too, but unfortunately it doesn't grow as thick as I would like and starts to look really unhealthy, which is alright when you are travelling like a hippy, but nooone is going to employ you in an office (yucky offices anyway!) if you look like that! My profile picture was taken about two months before the trip. It was one of the first pictures DH saw of me...he LOVED it...(he likes the sexy secretary look so my glasses went down well with him!!)...my hair was pretty long but because the picture is close up it looks shorter! I cut my hair last week again (trying to get employed and everyone here in NYC has such 'set' hair...I still let it dry wild and free but it needed a cut) so it on my shoulders. I miss my mermaid hair, but it will be that way in a few months again! Travelling is incredible. You should do it as soon as your health is stable. Before I went on my trip I had my IBS at its best (it was much better in those days!), controlled with diet and exercise etc. I KNEW my IBS was going to suffer while I travelled, and I was scared (leaving for such a trip is scary anyway), but I wanted it so badly and was willing to make the IBS sacrifice. It wasn't too bad! I really feel, and felt, that you only live once, and you have to live your dreams as much as you can. All the south east asian countries, and India, are SOOOO cheap once you get there that you are laughing! And you can buy 'round-the-world' tickets which make all the flights much more economical. You should do it...its amazing! Lots of love
