Hi Augie! Try to limit your salt intake! You're retaining water in your legs which means you're keeping it in more than you're peeing it out. Water weight in the legs is uncomfortable and can inhibit effective exercise, so you have to stop absorbing sodium and retaining fluid, otherwise you'll find it harder and harder to got rid of it.

Cutting your salt intake will help. When I get too bloated I take an OTC diuretic for a couple of days. Not so long that I come to rely on it, but just enough to get rid of the uncomfortable sensation of feeling uneasy in my skin. Diuretics are not a good long-term solution.

I'm a self-injurer, and in the past I've cut myself to get rid of the bloated feeling. It's a bad way to live and I don't want to go back to that, so I'm careful that when I see the signs of getting uncomfortably bloated, I address the problem head-on with a good diet, less salt, and lots of chamomile tea to get things flowing.

Typical? Maybe not. Just a suggestion from someone who cares.

~surprisingly nelly~
