I happen to do well with Metamucil, although it bothers some people. I take the full dose of 3 rounded teaspoons a day, one before each meal, dissolved in 8 oz of water. I had to build up VERY slowly though. I started at 1/4 teaspoon every 4 days so that I could get used to the new gurgles and sensations in my tummy!! I'm a total wimp!
