Thanks, Dalia and everybody!

A question - when you say you are stable - does that mean you have zero symptoms of ibs - you go to the toilet like a normal person and have none of that 'incomplete evacuation' feeling, or any tummy turning, bit of nausea, whatever? are 100% symptom free.
The only IBS symptoms I've had in the past 10 months were an episode or two of stomach pain from acid reflux (well, I guess that's not really IBS, it's GERD) and that little iffy feeling of grumbly rumblies that tells me my tummy is about to go bad and I should take an Imodium quick! That's what you mean by "tummy turning" isn't it? And I haven't even been feeling that lately!
I go to the bathroom like a regular normal person. It's amazing to me.

or is it just that you are not getting traumatic attacks and can eat safely, enjoying it, like a normal person, as long as you don't step out of the bracket?
I am not getting the traumatic attacks I used to where I'd have to run to the bathroom repeatedly after dinner for looser and looser BM's until whoosh I just emptied out completely and then felt like roadkill all the next day.
I eat pretty well as long as I stay with chicken or fish, avoid fried foods and salads and rich desserts, and keep my portions small. I can enjoy small quantities of enjoyable food especially when my DH is cooking and I know exactly what's in it.
If I can do it, all of you can too! Hang in there!
