Being an IBS-A, and new to this diet...

Is it essential that I start at square one with my diet. Just limiting myself to rice, rice noodles, a protein, all safe solubles? Or, is it okay to try cooked spinach, cooked green beans, cooked brown rice cereal, etc right now? It seems that a lot of people started out just eating basic diets, or is that just necessary if you are a IBS-D. I'm afraid that if I cut out insoluble my C will come back full vengence!
