Welcome.

I too have experienced the pitfalls of modern medicine. My GI told me I could eat anything I wanted to just include more fiber and this was a second opinion!

GI's really don't know much about IBS, so they tend to treat us as if we are depressed or just plain psycho.

Thank GOD I was searching on the internet and found Heather's website it is a lifesaver. Once I found out what I should and should not be eating and ordered her books, peppermint capsules, Acacia (which did not like me) I could actually see daylight ahead.

Also, the support of this board has made me try things I was just scared to do only to find that it helped me a great deal.

God does the healing and the doctors get the pay - threy don't know, some of them don't care and others are still researching.

You, just as I, found a great website; one where we can say exactly what we feel about our condition and get a compassionate supportive response.

Fast Foods: Jack In The Box has a sourdough chicken sandwich which is good and IBS safe. Wendy's also has a grilled chicken sandwich. None of these have the frills of French Fries, Sauces and all the other goodies we use to eat but plain is just as good.

Welcome again!

Lene
