Reged: 04/26/04 Posts: 1490 Loc: New York, New York Hi Beth (that's my middle name, by the way ) The "personal infuser" is just a cylindrical strainer that is open at the top. It hooks onto the rim of the mug, and hangs into the mug. You put the tea leaves inside the strainer, adn then pour the water into the strainer. The water flows through; the leaves stay in. There is a little lid that covers teh strainer part to keep the tea warm while it is brewing. Then the lid comes off and acts as a saucer, so when you take the strainer out you don't get your table/desk messy. Just place it into the saucer/lid, and you are good to go.
