I take birth control pills, particularly to control the acne that I developed as a result of the IBS diet( but believe me i would rather have the acne than the stomach pains) Anyway, I was really worried about taking the pill because most pills, antibiotics, etc. hurt my stomach. But orthotricyclene has been working out for me. But i am very careful about when I take it. My stomach is the worst in the morning, so I don't take the pill until my last my meal of the day, and always on a full stomach never take it on an empty stomach.

Different birth control pills have different effects on people though, my sister who is not IBS and eats anything she wants, vomits up the orthotricyclene. So it really depends on your individual body chemistry and you should try another pill (always on a full stomach).
