Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

Hi girls (and guys too, even though there's less of you)
So today's not the greatest of days. I'm trying not to dwell on it because I know it will pass. The main reason why I've been having attacks this week is because my doctor put me on antibiotics for the abscess thing. Like I said, it's better than surgery (which I may still have to have) but it does make me sick. I took immodium on Tuesday and that calmed it down, but then it kicked in again yesterday. This morning I came to work late because I was so weak when I got up that I could hardly keep myself vertical! This is no fun. I feel really drained and my appatite is way down. Any suggestions for getting past this while I'm dealing with these meds - I did start the immodium again and havn't had D since this morning, but I'm in lots of pain, and just feel really weak and foggy-like. I just hope the antibiotics do thier thing though, so I won't need surgery. thanks for listening and for any suggestions.
