Hi there~
If you're having doubts as to the cause of your symptoms, the best possible idea is to see a doctor to get it diagnosed properly. As many on this board can tell you, IBS can mimic other, more serious problems, and vice-versa. Please don't put off a doctor visit.
Everyone has different situations and symptoms, and many notice that stressful situations are big triggers for them. You may notice that once you start this diet that you are feeling a great deal better, just by getting rid of foods that you didn't even know were hurting you. Plus, if your diet is "horrible," then this one can only help ![](/messageboards/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
Others could tell you more about their results with medications, especially antidepressants. If you do a search, you'll find quite a bit, as there was a recent thread about anti-depressants. But it is also something that you can discuss with your doctor.
Sorry this is so long, but I hope that it helps! Take care!
