Hi there. I've posted a few times so far, but I need some support about this. I had another horrible attack yesterday. I mean, the pain usually gets pretty rough for me, but there was NO relief this time. I had the horrible cramps without any D. I'm def. IBS-A, so I wasn't sure what was wrong. I ended up having to go the ER to get some pain killers . (I had an appt with my old GI doc a few weeks ago who told me a tylenol would take care of it. umm, not a bit!)So I was doing fiber like it was my job, watching my food, and just really doing a great job. Then the attack came. I realize they can come from the blue, but how do I get over the frustration of it all? I know I couldn't have prevented it, but I start classes again next week and am so nervous about getting sick. The stress of my senior yr of college seems like it'll be one huge attack... I'm making an appt to see a shrink sometime soon as well. Maybe they can help teach me how to calm down. In the meantime, I do pilates every morning to work on breathing and such. And, at night I try deep breathing...does anyone have any other suggestions about how to stay calm? I mean, I am so scared of being sick now that I freak out and cause another attack. Any advice would be quite helpful...thanks
