Tuna at Wal-Mart is usually 2/$1 and is a safe, low-fat meat for IBS. Milk - it's already $4/gallon... Rice is a must. Like you, we're on a single income and groceries are getting out of hand!!! Today, I bought a split fryer at .99/pound rather than chicken breast at 2.36/pound. White meat is a must for me!
