This has happened to me every week the last two weeks. I'm not going to the bathroom daily and I feel constipated immediately (like if I am successful one day then the next am not - I feel bloated and C). THEN - I get the IBS-D attack! I'm following Heather's diet like a Bible! I'm really trying to solve this mystery. To be honest, I've not been exercising daily (actually not at all this week) and I still have not been able to figure out how to incorporate insoluble fiber into my diet. I have been taking my fiber supplement but I think I need to increase. I've been taking 4 tablets of Equalactin a day - Heather (and the box) say I can take up to 8 a day. Could the solution be: exercise (even if just walking around the block) daily and up my fiber intake? I had the attack yesterday and am wondering if it was stress related. I went to a concert with my boyfriend (he was REALLY looking forward to it) but all I could think about was what if I ruin it because of my stomach! Could my attack have been purely stress related? Another question - as I said - I'm taking Equalactin (it's a chewable fiber tablet - I HATE to swallow pills whole) however it's 4.69 per box of 24 tablets. EXPENSIVE! I was reading the ingredients for Fibercon (much cheaper) and they are exactly the same. The switch shouldn't hurt. Right!
