Thanks--I'll check on the possible celiac connection. I really feel that celiac is part of my problem, although tests seem to be inconclusive at this time. So maybe that is part of the cholesterol/triglyceride issue. My levels have been high off and on since I was in my 20s (I'm 51 now), and doctors have always thought that was odd.

BTW, after finally starting to feel better in the past couple of weeks (really sticking to the diet!), I have been in pain and a mess for 2 days--all because an idiot waiter told me something was gluten free, then after I had eaten half of it, he came and told me he had been wrong. His comment? "Good thing I double checked, huh?" Uh, no, because now I'm going to be sick for a couple of days at least. AAAgh!
