I'm sorry you're feeling so awful. I hope you're feeling better soon! Peppermint tea, a hot wrap, those things might help.
I used to get severe pain in my stomach, too...on the right side, and in a line straight across where my belly button is. It was my gall bladder. Sounds like you know it's gas. Might still be a good thing to get checked out by the doctor, if it keeps up.
