I can tell you that food sensitivities do suddenly occur. I suddenly became allergic last year to yeast, vinegar, malt, and carrots - all of which I'd happily eaten for many, many years. So now I find myself unable to eat bread or any sauces, condiments, or dressings because they all have vinegar in them. Just the tiniest bit of vinegar gives me internal itchings so bad that I just squirm so I have to be very, very careful with that.

Sounds like maybe the egg whites could be your culprit. Maybe you could keep a food diary if you aren't already, it sure helped me discover the carrot allergy - it didn't show up on the blood work and it was only thru the food diary that we discovered it. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.
