Hello to all, I am new and want to introduce myself (sent this over the holiday originally--probly bad timing).

I was diagnosed with IBS over 20 yrs. ago and I am definitely C. I have been tested for fructose intolerance and have taken a food sensitivity test known as LEAP through my GI doc. Those two tools may not be helpful to some of you and would be happy to explain further.

Recently, an alternative doc turned up that my stomach is not manufacturing its own HCL...so nothing is digesting properly; think I have seen much improvement in bloating, etc. since starting HCL supplements. Again, I mention it in case it might help anyone with questions/ideas for their docs.

Am embarking on a serious yoga and breathing practice (have practiced on/off for 10 yrs.)to see if it can help my C condition. Oh, also, the chiropractic folk I have seen (yes, I've searched everywhere for solutions) feel my C condition may be due in part to slight, low spine curvature that is screwing up the nerves in the colon. So...I will emphasize spinal strength in the yoga work also. Will keep you C's posted if any of this helps!

I have one quick question: has anyone experienced a slowing down of their system when starting on acacia? I started it 1 wk. ago, taking 1/2 t. 3x/day. I have ramped that up to 1 t. 3x/day. Nothing. Feel I am more bloated and C than previously. As Heather says, we all react differently to things, but just wondering if anyone has had this experience?!

Thanks so very much and nice to 'meet' you! What a great, supportive community this is!
