I only take it as needed, so when I hit a low period I may take it every day for a week or two straight. I take 2 pills when I'm really feeling sick, and 1 pill if I just want it as a preventative. The nice thing is that if you chew it up a little bit and leave it under your tongue its supposed to work in about 15min, otherwise if you swallow it works in about an hour.
