My daughter has had a few treatments now, and I have to tell you that it is not irritating or invasive. The colonic thereapists are all nurses, very gentle and compassionate. The treatment not only releases fecal matter, but it also retones the muscles in the bowel. So far, she is a little less bloated than before, and we're seeing a little more peristalsis. It is totally clean and non invasive. It's just filtered water coming into the colon very slowly and soaking the walls of the colon, while carring out waste that may have been there for a very long time. Most medical doctors will not recommend this, but naturopatic doctors will. Check it out a little further, especially if you have IBS with constipation.
