Hi, I'm pretty new too and still learning. For myself, I stick to the diet until my body stablizes. And when it stablizes, I usually stick to the list & rules bcos I know its safer that way. Sometimes, I have cheated and my body was not pleased. Most of the time, I do stick to the diet & have not eaten anything with dairy since I started. Its just safer for me that way. Usually, I look at the ingredients on the back to see if it has dairy in it. It took me awhile to find stores that had safe but enjoyable food. Veg Blog online (the food section) lists some stores that has foods that I can eat, it has been helpful along with this message board. For instance, I was really craving icecream for the longest time since I stopped dairy. Then I heard about the brand Turtle Mountain icecream and it is non-dairy & is delicious! You can find it in health food stores as well as some grocery stores. I think everyone is different with their tolerance of certain foods. For the most part moderation is good and "What to eat when you can't eat..." also helps. Small meals, and snacks are best. I do eat the rice cakes and I'm fine after eating them. Have you tried eating some fruits and veggies? Have you tried soy products like soy chips, sour cream, soy butter, etc? Hope all is well:) Lilybear
