Thanks Kelly - didn't know about the inflammation thing. I'm always keen on natural anti inflammatories- I have had a diagbosis of lupus for the past 8 years- been in remission for the past year- mainly by taking all the natural anti inflammatory herbs etc I could find. I've been worried about the lupus coming back as I've stopped taking supplements and herbs etc in case they were making the ibs worse- goos to know there's something (as well as ginger!) that's good for both!
