Janice,
welcome, I am new to this site too and am thankful for it and the book. Just wanted to agree with whoever told you about the prep for the colonoscopy was defintely right. I had one about 5 years ago for the same reasons to rule out Chrohns, polyps etc and thank God it's just "spastic colon". I wouldn't wish IBS on anyone ever but you gotta deal with what you're dealt. Don't sweat the colonoscopy...you won't remember a thing thanks to the good ol drug Verced (sp?)...the prep the night before is when you'll be hating life....have plenty of t.p. standing by, a good book, and it'll be over before you know it.
