Thinking about the American diet...The average American or European has probably consumed large amoounts of caffeine daily--since high school.

I knew guys in aerospace engineering who would slam 8-10 cups a day of coffee. Some drank CONTINUOUS coffee. The cup was never empty...

Maybe the nerves in the small & large bowel become "oversensitized" to the artificial stimulation of...caffeine?

So then--they become overresponsive to ANY food which causes a large gastro response (fats or non-soluble fiber).

Anybody know the percentage of IBS in the true Mormon population...who don't ingest caffeine?

WHY the low fraction of IBS in African & Asian (tea drinking) populations??

Is it just the fiber?

(Remember...you heard it first HERE!)
