Just for a little background before I ask my question, I am IBS-C sometimes -A, and have been for about 9 years. I thought at first I was lactose intolerant, but have gathered from the info on this site that it may be the proteins in milk that are the trigger, not the lactose. Giving up milk products has been very difficult for me, as I grew up on them and love them, especially yogurt. Ironically tho, yogurt is now my WORST trigger, it turns this -C into a -D in a hurry! So, having recently discovered the existence of Soyogurt, I decided to give it a try. After work one nite, I had 3, only 3, bites, and went to bed. Well, good thing I didn't have any more, as pain and other nasty feelings woke me up early and forced a sick day from work, something I haven't had to do for quite a while. What I'm wondering is, does anyone have an idea as to why I was unable to tolerate it, I thought that the active bacterial culture was good for me? Any thoughts?

Thanx!
