Re: Aspergers - great article       04/03/03 09:41 AM Edit Reply Quote pinky Reged: 03/23/03 Posts: 16 Loc: Indiana Michelle, I was so surprised to find that there are many people in this forum that have children with Asperger's. My son was diagnosed by one doctor with this syndrome at age 6. Another doctor disagreed, so I'm not sure, but the article described many of my son's behaviors to a "T". He is now 10 and incredibly smart in many of the ways the article described. (His idea of a fun weekend was to go to the engineering open house at the university I attended years ago- you know, just to see what was new out there in the field of engineering!) I thought it might comfort you a bit to know that he does well socially. It was always a concern, but the teacher has assured me that his unique way of approaching life is intriguing to the other kids and he is popular.
