Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Re: IBS-C new to board-HELP!

Hi Misery! I am new to the board too...not new to ibs like you. But, gee, now it is official...dr. reporting on the ct scan said "You have constipation with ibs" DUH. It has been on and off for at least 6 years...I thought it was dairy but the more I read the more I see other triggers (fat?caffeine? oh noooooooo!)I was just put on zelnorm..interested to see how it will do. Fighting with insurance to get it payed for...they will but they want me to "fight" for it it seems. WIll try the soluble fiber too. I have several pairs of loose or elastic pants that help for those bloat days. My favorite "cocktail" is an Aleve, a Gas-X and a tagamet/xantac(something for the nausea). Usually stiffles it but I have to go lay down for a while. Now will try the heat too. Lessee....Cramps, stretch marks, periods, breast/ovarian cancer scares...etc etc... and ibs...what else do we women have to deal with? Oh...never mind...I might not want to hear. Thanks for all feedback...
