Hi.. my name is nicky and I came across this site yesterday while browsing for info on IBS. I have not been to a gastroenterologist yet (or not recently), so I don't know if I have IBS-C or not, and I will make an appt, as soon as I find a new GE. The last one I've gone to, told me to just take probiotics, and assured me that "you know, to be healthy, you don't have to have a BM every day. a few times a week is enough." and also: "no need to worry about colon cancer, since you've had constipation all your life, if it were cancer, you'd been dead by now". I don't know about you all, but I don't really wanna go see that guy anymore.
Anyway, I seem to have a lot of the symptoms that come with IBS, had my gallbladder removed last year, because that thing didn't work, and right after the surgery I felt soooo good! Alas.. didn't last.
Anyhow, I just found a site with a colon cleanser, and after reading all the testimonials, I wonder if I should try that, to restore things first. And then continue to eat according to the IBS diet. But before investing in a colon cleanser (the product that I looked at is called Colonix), I wanted to hear some other people's opinion.
