I had a similar situation. My doctor prescribed a drug to mask the symptoms but I refused to take it. I switched doctors and tried to find someone who thought food could help, because I really think diet can change so much. Everyone's different and it takes a long time to figure out the specifics of your triggers, but I do think it's worth it! Even though I haven't sorted out all of my issues yet, I'd say I've gone from feeling good 30% of the time to about 75%. Hopefully it'll be even higher soon! I actually tried a different elimination diet first as I didn't know about this plan, and the things I reacted to were all the things Heather lists: dairy, high fats, too much raw food etc. etc. The fruits and veges bit is hard for me too, but it's not about giving up those foods, it's about learning how to incorporate them. It's best to start by 'breaking the cycle' - there's a link on the site - and then trying to incorporate fruits and vegetables back in slowly. Have a read about exactly how to do that, and good luck!
