Ladies-I'm just trying to get some feedback RE: the acacia fiber supplement use. I have been on it for about 2 weeks now. I started at 1 1/2 tsp twice a day the first few days. I had terrible gas and bloating, so Heather suggested I cut back a little. I went to 1 tsp in morning, and one at night. I was feeling great for the first week on that dose, so two days ago I upped to 1 1/2 tsp again-two doses a day. Well, since Saturday morning, the gas, cramping and bloating came back with a vengeance, even though I've been really careful what I eat. Here is what I ate yesterday: 1 bowl of corn pops with rice milk, plain pretzels for snack, lunch of pasta salad with cooked carrots, olives and fat-free italian dressing. Dinner-a white flour tortilla wrap with turkey breast, avocado slice, and 1 TBSP soy cheese shreds. Also, one Honest Tea herbal iced tea. I would like feed back please, because based on what I ate, it seems like it must be the fiber again. How quickly did you increase? Does it really take a few months to get up to optimal dose? Should I only try to increase again after a month instead of a week? I just feel like banging my head against a wall right now, because before this gas attack, I was feeling SO good.
