syl - yes i guess its the part of the colon that goes along the top under the actual stomach - ive always thought it was in my actual stomach but now you point it out maybe it isnt. Dragonfly - i have looked up symptoms lots and nothing other than a ulcer / hernia comes up but they have said it isnt that and that its ibs - i have bouts of heart burn and burping ( sorry ) and my upper stomach bloats up so much. they have said they have done al the tests they can do and nothing is showing - so i guess it is ibs if thats what they tell me - i was diagnosed 7 years ago with it and my specialist said i have quite severe ibs but because i was getting these upper symptoms i convinced myself it was something else - some days i feel so nauseas ( never sick) and just groggy in my tummy

is this normal ?
