You are NOT alone, as many of us have been through being 'jerked around'. If I could recommend anything, it would be having a consultation with a second gastroentrologist, totally unrelated to the first one. When a doctor gives a referral to another doctor for second opionion, they 'sleep together'. I would seek my own second option independently and bring my test results along, so you will not have to repeat any recent testing.
