About 8 years ago my doctor told me that I "probably" had IBS, he didn't do a lot of testing, I only had a colonoscopy. Since then I had just been watching what I ate and learned of heather's tummy fiber which did seem to help. However, about a year and a half ago my symptoms got tremendously worse and I was told that I needed to have my gallbladder out. I went through that surgery and still 5 months later I saw no improvement. We decided to do a food sensitivity/allergy panel. This came back with 21 different food allergies. It has been just about a year since I was diagnosed with these allergies, and I have stayed away from all those foods and have seen improvement. However, I am starting to experience the terrible lower GI pain and diarrhea again, I gained almost 10 pounds after I was diagnosed with the allergies, now I am loosing it all again because I am in the bathroom again after I eat. Can this really be IBS along with my allergies? I went off of heathers tummy fiber when I found out about the allergies because I thought that was my whole problem, guess not, I just placed an order for some more tummy fiber to see if that helps. I just dont know what to do anymore, I hate feeling this way!
