Seems like the benefit of SF is that is has zero calories while resistant starch has 2/3 of the amount of non-resistant. However, it also seems resistant starch is more prevalent, and like SF is a pre-biotic.

Based on my quick reading of the paper, if you're not too concerned about your weight, it's pretty much the same thing.

My jaw dropped when I saw that an "active" man my age needs 45g of fiber. I previously thought the 38 for someone not active was insane. I'm pretty active, and I honestly don't know how I could ever force that much fiber into me in a day.
