I was diagnosed in 2003 as having IBS, after taking birth control pills. Since then, my symptoms have almost disappeared and I really don't have any problems. I came down with the flu last week and with that came 1 day of diarrhea and hardly eating anything for a week. Now that I am getting over it, and my appetite is back, I am having diarrhea after eating almost anything. I can eat rice, and dry corn/oat cereal ok. If I eat soup, dairy, or eggs, I get diarrhea. These are things that never bother me. I have always been able to eat eggs and milk, even when my stomach was bothering me. Has anyone else experience symptoms after getting over a bad virus? How long does it take to go away? And what should I eat in the meantime? I've already lost 8 or more lbs and I'm really think to begin with. Thanks:-)
