Welcome to the boards, Bagwmn.

I think you'll find there is no simple answer as to what triggers an attack (even after a period of time of little or no activity).

I'd suggest that you keep up with the Acidophilus considering that you had some success with it. Keeping a diary may help also; what you ate during the day, your general emotional state for the day, etc.

There are many members here who are quite knowledgeable on the subject and you've come to the right place for help.
