Hi,
My daughter is IBS-C and is needing frequent enemas to help relieve gas pains and to help move stool out as she has slow motility. Lately when I give her an enema, often all that comes out is mucous. Is this something that you normally would see with someone who is IBS-C? And does the mucous cause irritation in the bowel and subsequent more discomfort? My daughter is 20, special needs and nonverbal so she isn't able to tell me how she is feeling so I want to post this question to you so maybe you could share with me how having this mucous makes you feel.
Thank you so much.
