I completely relate. I'm pretty stable now, but mornings have always been my worst time of day. The first 3-4 hours after I woke up I didn't want to put ANYTHING in my mouth, not even water, because it felt like it was "waking up" my tummy and I could start to feel the movement coming.
What I've found, though, is that my body does best on a fixed routine. Part of that routine is eating breakfast in the morning, though not until maybe 2 hours after I wake up. I really do feel better in the long run, even though some mornings I really don't want to have to eat. My body started to expect food at the same time each day, so it got into its own rhythm of going to the bathroom at the same time each day. What used to be several BMs in the morning has turned into 1 or 2, and I'm done before I leave for work, usually. It's been a big relief, since anxiety about having to 'go' at work was always one of my big problems.
Eating the right things and avoiding the wrong things has been the best for me. I saw a dietician who helped me uncover my food intolerances, though it's still an ongoing process. But between eating healthy and having a fixed routine (that I follow even on weekends), my body and I have started to know what to expect from each other. But yeah, those first couple of weeks of forcing myself to eat in the morning were miserable, because I knew it would make me have to go and I dreaded it.
