I just recently stumbled across this board after purchasing Heather's book, The First Year IBS. I just started reading the book and implementing a few changes such as always having some soluble fiber on an empty stomach, acadia fiber and peppermint caps. In just a few days I feel alot better and I think so far the D is mostly under control.

I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow to pick up the staples I need to fully implement this diet. I'm really looking forward to this and feeling back to my normal self.

I've tried other diets from books at the library but they all say to increase fiber like whole wheat and wheat bran. What a huge mistake. I never felt worse AND I looked like I was 6 months pregnant, ug it was awful.

Anyways, wanted to introduce myself and I'm off to explore the recipe section.
