IBS sufferers in the UK please read       04/08/08 04:08 AM Edit Reply Quote dlondon Reged: 03/26/08 Posts: 11 Hi I am posting this to find out what the opinions of IBS sufferers are of those who live in the UK. How have you found the standard of help provided to you? Have doctors been well informed and helpful? Or have you found you often know more than they do? What about dieticians? Do they understand your symptoms? Or did they just say have more fibre/brown toast!? Have you found it easy to find information on IBS? Have health shops been helpful/knowledgable? or they did just try to sell you expensive stuff which never worked? What about alternative therapies? Have you tried acupuncture? Homeopathy? others? Was it any good? The reason for this is to determine if the standard of treatment is any better here, or if we are behind the world in treatment of this growing problem affecting millions.
