Hi there,
Thanks so much for the response Zara! In terms of the diet I am still omitting dairy, caffeine, and wheat. I did add back soy in limited amounts and nuts. I am not sure if that is effecting me, or if there was some hormone while I was pregnant and nursing that kept me feeling better.
I stopped nursing last July, and then by late August felt horrible. Bad reflux pain, constant bloating to the point I couldn't fit in my clothes, and constipation.
I am hoping that this diet will help. It is tough as I am still spending a lot of time making sure my boys are doing well, gaining weight and have the foods they need. But I know that I need to take care of me to take care of them.
Now a few questions for you. Do you just substitute rice/oat/barley flour for the recipes? And, do you have any problems with constipation if you have all of the SF? That is my biggest fear is that I will be constipated and bloated, although I keep telling myself that all of you out there cannot be wrong! And, do you eat the SF alone first or a supplement and then have IF? For example, tonight my husband made chicken tacos. I have rice tortillas that I use and I put chicken in one with a little bit of lettuce and peppers, but I wasn't sure how that would turn out? So far, so good...
Any insight you have would be great. I know for my boys' syndrome talking/emailing with others helped immensely and I am positive that is why we as a family are having success.
THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! Beth
