Pre-diabetic, but as my dr says, it's like being pregnant, you either are or you aren't. I'd been following the diabetes diet with tremendous success... blood tests came back with my A1C and blood sugar totally within the norm. Cool. But now... NOW what?!

What's one of the cardinal rules of the diabetic diet? NO WHITE FOOD. Yet, that's what IBSers have to eat. How am I supposed to do this?! I can't eat the veggies, now, that I used to... broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts... no, now I have to eat the high-starch stuff to appease the IBS. Sourdough and french bread? not whole wheat? How in the world do I combine the two and live?!

Yes, I'm getting a referral from my primary dr to go see a nutritionist, but really... this is impossible.
