Well, I have had a sort of "drugged" reaction to eating salmon---something in it, maybe I'm allergic---but it makes me feel drunk or high. Not as bad as you describe.
The feeling of having a "big head" even sounds familiar to me. I used to get a sort of reaction from sweet foods like dates or sometimes from coffee. I'd just feel like my tongue was really huge in my mouth, and I felt like I was somehow "separated from my body"---like I was looking at myself from the corner of the room.... I had this a lot when I was a child, and it used to scare me; I thought I was going crazy. Along with the weird mouth feeling, I used to get visual spikes of contrasting images: black, white, black, white---and also textures along with the images: wrinkled, smooth, wrinkled, smooth----alternating like that.
At one point I thought it was caused by blood sugar changes---but enzymes, chemicals or molds may also be a trigger.
