hi, i haven't posted in awile, because i've been trying to make things in my body more normal, and i've seen the doctor. i asked him the question i've asked myself before and on this message board: when i urinate, why do the muscles seems aggravated more? he used the exact same words i told myself: everything is connected. so if you don't have a seperate problem with your bladder that has nothing to do with IBS, your muscles will still pull when urinating. i noticed it because when i have a "calm" moment, and then urinate, everything gets upset again. this is no surprise and i knew i was right.

also, i've switched to Donnatal extentabs, and they seem to help with soreness and the burning in the rectum, but i don't know how to stop the pulling below the stomach that causes stomach upset and some pain. i know that it occurs when i have to have a bowel movement, or pass gas, but i can't figure out the cause when i don't do either of those things, and it's a terrible and scary feeling. i may get one day out of the week, two tops, in which it does not pull. one can eat the exact same things, in the same amount, yet get different reactions everyday. if this is happening to you and you have any suggestions, please let me know.

i read on a website that bent-knee situps help because they bend the colon back and forth, can encourage normal intestinal contractions and can thus help regulate the bowel." maybe that is why i pull, because the colon is not getting exercise. (i just walk) has anyone tried them? perhaps exercise of this sort can help, but when is a good time to do them?
