So here I am starting my Eating for IBS diet for the second time. I was diagnosed last year with IBS-C and was excited when I found this website. I ordered the Eating for IBS book immeidately and started on my path to stopping my attacks, unfortunately I never really made it that far. In the beginning I saw some improvement, I tried the peppermint & fennel teas but didn't like them but not being able to eat the foods that I loved growing up kept getting me more & more depressed.

I started seeing a nutrionist shortly thereafter who had no clue what IBS was but I didn't realzie until it was too late because I really thought she was helping me. In 3 months I lost 20lbs and by the end I was extremely dehydrated and was out of work for over a week. I don't entirely blame her, she has helped many people achieve their weight goals and lower their cholesterol, blood pressure etc. she just couldn't help me.

So here I am trying to start all over again and make this work. I think I am over the whole food depriavtion thing and have accepted that I cannot eat certain things. I have been using the Acaicia Tummy Fiber for about 2 months now but not religiously because I have trouble adding it to things ...... does anyone have suggestions on whats the best way to take it? I usually mix some into my oatmeal for breakfast which works great but it never fully dissolves in liquids.

Also, has anyone ever taken Calcium supplements, calcium is supposed to promote digestive health.
