I used to go to the bathroom 20 times a day, most times just passing mucous. I recently had my third colonoscopy with polyps removed. One was not easy to remove so I had surgery to have it cut out. Immediately, my excess mucous stopped. I no longer go to the bathroom every 20 minutes! The doctor guesses my body thought I needed to pass something that was constantly irritating my rectum. That caused the mucous & urge to go. Removing the growth ended this condition. If anyone has this problem, you may want to be checked for polyps. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
