Yes, my Mother has COPD and is getting worse. She has my niece living with her and she takes care of most of the work but she still needs someone to take her to the doctors, three of them a month, buy groceries, and help with stuff like that. She also had care/custody of my uncle, who is severally retarded and unable to care for himself, and the family is at odds as to his care. She want one of us, her kids, to promise to take him if she goes before he does but none of us are going to. So every visit with her is a guilt trip or a crying session. Add to that a hectic job, regular everday stuff and boom something happens every day. Due to my insomnia I have spent the last two days pretty much sleepless so I am really feeling the pain today.
