We are also a very meat and potatoes kind of family (my husband loves southern cooking) so..the red meat thing kinda bummed me out. I use alot of hamburger for meatloaf, burgers, hamburger helper etc. I use Extra lean ground sirloin. I think it is 98/2% ratio. Would this be ok because of the lower fat count or not? I have also wondered about substituting ground turkey but I am afraid my husband and kids will freek with the change.
