IBS or not?

Hello, I'm new to considering IBS as possiblity for my GI symptoms. After reading Heather's Help for IBS webpage, not to mention everything else I could find on IBS and GI problems, I can't quite pinpoint my symptoms. So, I'm hoping someone can give me some insight! It started about 3 months ago, I had severe acid reflux, taking lots of meds. One night I ate dinner with cheese, red meat and lots of fat. I felt as if I couldn't breathe, because the food felt as if it wouldn't go down. Very scary. Lasted about 30 mins. Since then have had several tests done, all come back fine. Discovered I now have an intolerance to fatty foods and dairy (causing pain). Whenever I eat almost anything now, about 2 hours later, I feel a weakness in my stomach area, sometimes to the point of passing out, and don't feel better until I belch and do some throat clearing of mucus. I do best with moving after I eat. I feel best with nothing in my stomach. I have tried several diets, bought a juicer, added enzymes and probiotics, but nothing really helps. I've stopped taking acid reflux meds and because I eat very little now, I am not having any problems with acid reflux.

Last night my symptoms were a little different, and it was one of my worst nights with spasms and bubbles all through my stomach--I didn't sleep all night, until after I finally tried some peppermint tea and that calmed things down. I have had constipation for 2 years, after starting a medication that lists that as a side effect. I was able to correct this with lots of insoluable fiber.

My GI dr is unable to tell me anything at this point, just wants to put me on meds for stomach spasms which I can't tolerate. When I ended up in the ER with thoughts it was gallbladdar (even they thought it was and did a couple tests, but nothing), the ER dr suggested IBS. Again, any insight would be so much appreciated! I've lost 20 pounds and continue to miss lots of work with no sick leave.
