My general practice doctor thought that I might have Chron's Disease and sent me to a GI. When we did the colonoscopy and endoscopy, he was expecting to see major damage. There was none! He did a battery of tests, all for very bad conditions, everything negative. IBS is relatively benign, it doesn't cause permanent damage or led to cancer. Having all the test done was a relief! Also, the GI doctor gave me some meds that have changed my life! It's great if you can be stable just by diet, but the meds can help. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
