Al, If you could, call your dr to ask for the pills to take. I go for my 2nd colonoscopy on Nov 6th. 2 years ago had the first one, had to drink a gallon of that stuff. Only got down 1/2 that, I think.. I started vomitting from it, so I stopped.. It was a very different BM experience, compared to D. When everything is clear, you know your are cleaned out.
How long drive to hospital is it for you?
This time around, different GI dr, gave me a schedule of what to eat (clear liquids and basically BTC food) starting 5 days before the test. There's also another schedule for taking the pills. I don't have the paper with me now (at work).. I think it's something like you swallow 5 pills every 15 minutes with 8 oz. of clear liquid.. they recommended gatorade because it has potassium.
You could try eating the BTC foods this week, before your test.
